Hey everybody! Yesterday was belong's first birthday, thought it didn't start out under the name belong. The hello entry from 10.28.97 was the main part of my first ever page, only for about 13 hours, but still.

In celebration I'm trying to join chapter two (that's why that stuff is on the main page) which is a web-ring for new or unknown online journals and diaries and seeing as how this site has maybe 30 hits a month I think it fits wonderfully in the second category. We'll know if belong made it in a few days, if it did the logo and link stay, if not they go.

I have also started to do a history of belong featuring screen captures of earlier designs and complete explanations. that should be up in the 'site info' section in a few days.

For those wondering why the 'about me' section only has three small pictures and a promise for content, my answer is I don't exist; I'm a self replicating virus with an ego. No this isn't true, the real reason is I have too much to say.

I want to get the necessary stuff out of the way i.e. I'm 18, unemployed, living in a northern suburb of Seattle, oh yeah and I'm female, but I also want to put in things like: I always double knot my shoe laces, I only prepare instant type food stuffs for myself to eat (cheese and crackers have become a dietary staple), right now my favorite author is Robert Pirsig, I have a picture of bill gates with red eyes and wearing lipstick on the wall behind my computer monitor, I listen to tricky, rem, tori amos, devo, et cetera.

But my attempts at capturing 'the essence of me' in a web presentation have proven to be difficult, but I'm still trying. The history of belong will be out before the 'about me' is ready for uploading, though.

I finally discovered how to do screen captures. Though I do have an excuse for this belated learning; my previous computer had a pre-windows95 keyboard and whatever the process it wasn't as easy as pushing a button.

In the spirit of sharing knowledge about my self I'll tell you that from 10pm-12am PST I can usually be found on IRC (dalnet server) as BlueElfy, come talk to me.
